From when we first leave them at school, to when we wave them off to college, we need to trust that our children are safe as they learn. To that end, Prama Hikvision has donated hundreds of cameras to education establishments in the state of Rajasthan in India, to help students across the area enjoy a safer learning environment.
Student safety is paramount to every education institution. To achieve this, most establishments rely upon a network of staff to physically look out for student wellbeing: people who ensure no intruders enter the premises, who mark student attendance on the register and prevent truancy, and who intervene in incidents of bullying, for example.
However, there are simply not enough people on any school campus to have eyes on all areas at all times. So, many forward-thinking educational establishments are turning to the latest video security technologies to both protect their students, and ensure they are getting the education they deserve.
This is precisely the nature of our latest charitable project in northern India, for example.
Improving the safety of staff and students
Prama Hikvision India recently launched a “Secure Campuses” CSR program in partnership with the Government of Rajasthan. As a part of the agreement, Prama Hikvision gave away 500 CCTV Cameras and 75 Network Video Recorders to 75 higher educational institutes across the region.
The aim of the program is to improve the security infrastructure within the college campuses, using video security technologies to ensure the safety of students and staff. Importantly, the students themselves are heavily involved, and will be learning about what security means as a fundamental part of the project.
Smarter, safer learning environments
At Hikvision, we’ve been working with learning institutions around the world for years, to help protect children and ensure they get the education they deserve.
In Dubai, for instance, 100 school buses have been equipped with Hikvision CCTV cameras, DVRs and driver LCD screens, to ensure children get to and from the Dubai-Sharjah-Ajman’s National Charity School safely.
While in western India, Hikvision video security solutions are working across multiple sites to check the presence/absence of staff, and to reduce petty crime.
A charitable ethos
We are very proud to be able to donate our technology to the Government of Rajasthan. We regularly engage in charitable work with a variety of organizations that share our vision, including educational establishments, hospitals and charitable trusts. Our aim is to equip them with technology to enhance how they work, for the benefit of all involved.
