Peninsula-Bay Resort is a new leisure destination on Cambodia’s southwestern coast in Sihanoukville. It combines hotel, entertainment, banquet, and wellness facilities to upgrade the tourist experience. To elevate its appeal and create a landmark, the resort partnered with Luban Industrial, a reliable system integrator, to install a large Hikvision LED display.
The resort is by the sea, so the screen will face intense sunlight, strong sea breezes, and heavy rains in the rainy season. These conditions demand a display solution with exceptional durability, weather resistance, and corrosion protection. Hikvision’ LED displays were chosen for their aluminum structure, which offers a lightweight yet sturdy design. With an IP45 protection rating and automatic dehumidification features, the display is well-suited to withstand the coastal environment’s humidity and moisture.
The project’s scale—which involved building a three-sided LED wall of 534.5 m²—was another critical factor. The setup includes two large screens measuring 25.92 m by 9.6 m on two sides of the building and a smaller curved screen of 3.84 m by 9.6 m on the third side. Considering the large size of the screens, easy deployment, maintenance, and management are of great importance. Fortunately, Hikvision LED displays’ (DS-D4240CO-1BAB, DS-D4240CO-4BSB) modular cabinet design simplifies assembly, disassembly, and maintenance, making it easy to replace faulty parts.
To manage the display system efficiently, the resort deployed Hikvision’s comprehensive Keyboard, Video, and Remote Desktop Control System (KVM). This includes a Video Wall Controller (DS-C30S-S11), an Ultra HD Server (DS-IVMS9530ES-UH04/I1P2) and KVM 4K HDMI Input/Output Node (DS-C80K-01HI/4K, DS-C80K-01HO/4K). The Video Wall Controller simplifies configuration and maintenance and enables remote control and scheduling. Its auto-detection and alarm functions provide real-time monitoring of network disconnections, IP conflicts, and temperature thresholds, ensuring smooth operation. The Ultra HD Server has a professional graphics card and supports high-resolution 3D video decoding. Usually, in normal remote operations, HD content may cause lags and interruptions, especially when the server is placed behind the LED screen and the controller is used in a distant office. With this KVM system, however, staff can operate the system smoothly from their office 80 m away.
Hikvision’s local technical team in Cambodia played a key role in the project’s success. Their quick response and on-site support gave the resort confidence. Seng Eark, HR Supervisor at Peninsula-Bay Resort, commended Hikvision’s reliability: “Their team is always ready to assist,” he said. “If any issues arise, they respond within a short period of time, minimizing disruptions. This level of support is crucial for a project of this scale.”
As Peninsula-Bay Resort gets ready to open, the Hikvision LED display stands as a symbol of innovation and quality. The resort expects this landmark to attract visitors and generate revenue through advertising opportunities. By choosing Hikvision’s advanced LED display solution, Peninsula-Bay Resort is well on its way to becoming a top destination on Cambodia’s southwestern coast.
