Spring Dale Senior School is a private senior secondary school located in Punjab, India. The school’s need to continuously restocking consumables such as markers and paper posed financial as well as environmental challenges. In addition, the school sought to meet the demands of modern education by incorporating interactive and engaging tools. To address these issues, Spring Dale Senior School made a digitalization endeavor named ‘Going Paperless’.
To implement this plan, the school installed Hikvision interactive display technology in 80 classrooms and conference rooms. This transformation went beyond simply displaying teaching content digitally. It extended to academic operations managed through applications and software supported by the built-in Android system of the panels. For example, teachers can now use a quiz application to assign homework, and share the link to students, who can join quizzes from their own devices. Digital content can also be easily updated and reused, eliminating the need for continuous reprints. Consequently, the reliance on textbooks and printed teaching materials has significantly reduced. This not only saves costs but also contributes to minimizing negative environmental impacts.
By reducing dependency on traditional stationery, the school has successfully supported its ‘Going Paperless’ drive. Overall, the initiative has not only addressed its financial challenges but has also made a positive contribution to the environment while enhancing the educational experience for students.
