Setting up physical backdrops was time-consuming and required a lot of manpower and resources. Additionally, the inability to change these backgrounds quickly during shoots was a major drawback.
To solve these issues, Media24 installed a 51.84m² LED backdrop in their studio, which measures 19.2 m in width and 2.7 m in height. This setup consists of 256 pieces of P1.2 COB LED Units. The choice of Flip-Chip COB technology was crucial because of its superior performance. This technology removes bonding wires from the light path and supports closer spacing of LEDs, maximizing image brightness and resolution. It is perfect for high-demand applications like studio productions, ensuring clear and vivid visuals for Media24's film shoots, TV interviews, and weather broadcasts.
The LED backdrop has transformed Media24's studio operations. One major benefit is the increased flexibility and efficiency. Digital displays allow for instant background changes, reducing the need for physical set modifications and saving significant time and resources. Real-time control over the backdrop enables quick transitions between different scenes, times, and locations, streamlining the production process.
